1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of SA Tax Calculators, available at sataxcalculators.co.za ("the site"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
2. Financial Disclaimer
Every calculator, guide and figure on this site is provided for general information and illustration only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to enter into any financial product or transaction.
We are not a registered financial services provider, tax practitioner, or credit provider. We are not authorised by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) to provide financial advice or intermediary services, and we do not do so.
Before acting on anything you read or calculate here, you should consult a SARS-registered tax practitioner, an FSCA-authorised financial adviser, an attorney, or your bank, as appropriate to your circumstances.
3. Accuracy and Limitations of the Calculators
Our calculators use published figures from SARS, the Department of Employment and Labour, the National Credit Regulator, the Legal Practice Council and the South African Reserve Bank, and are reviewed after each National Budget. We take accuracy seriously, but results are estimates and will not match an official assessment exactly. In particular:
- PAYE is calculated on the annual SARS tables divided by twelve. Employers use a cumulative year-to-date method, so your payslip may differ.
- Bond and transfer costs use Legal Practice Council guideline tariffs. Your conveyancing attorney sets the actual fee.
- UIF benefits use a stepped approximation of the income replacement rate. The UIF applies a continuous sliding scale.
- Retirement and investment projections assume nominal returns and a fixed drawdown rate. Real-world markets, inflation, fees and tax will change the outcome.
- Calculations do not account for individual circumstances such as multiple employers, foreign income, provisional tax, trusts, or SARS directives.
Tax law, interest rates and thresholds change. We do not warrant that every figure on the site is current at the moment you read it.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, SA Tax Calculators and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any result it produces.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
5. Acceptable Use
